Support for multiple VST3 Event Input buses

Each VST instrument supports at least one event input bus, which is used to route MIDI input to the plug-in.

VST3 instruments, such as Vienna Symphonic Library, can expose multiple event input buses in order to route more than 16 MIDI channels of MIDI data to the plug-in.

In addition to VST instruments, audio effect plug-ins may also expose one or more event input buses to allow MIDI control of parameters.

Music Creator supports multiple VST3 event input buses. A MIDI track’s Output control can be assigned to any available event input bus.

Using multiple Event Input buses

Event buses appear as a submenu of the corresponding MIDI port in the MIDI track’s Output control. The submenu will only appear if the corresponding plug-in or instrument supports more than one event input bus.

 

Note: A Simple Instrument track is always assigned to its target instrument’s first Event Input bus. If you are using a VST3 instrument that supports multiple event input buses, and you would like to use a different bus, use individual MIDI tracks instead of a simple instrument track. Each MIDI track’s Output control can be assigned to the desired event input bus.
